Do you like to travel with your dog? Ruffwear’s Go Between Cinch Top bowl makes kibble portable. Just fill the bowl up, pull it closed, and off you go! This product is made out of recycled polyester. At  $14.95 from Ruffwear’s online store, it’s a little pricey, however.

This owl-shaped plush dog toy is super-cute. It’s made of low-impact hemp with chemical-free fillers and dyes, too. I guess that makes it okay that my dogs will probably devour it-at least they won’t be ingesting harmful toxins.  Available from Amazon for $7.64.

Feline Evolution Cat Toilet Seat

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, you are looking at a toilet seat for cats. Wow. Just…wow.  I can’t decide if this is sheer genius or simply lunacy. However,  at least some of the reviewers on Amazon were able to use this seat to toilet train their cats. If you can make it work, more power to you. Clay litter is often produced by strip-mining and takes gasoline to ship, so you’ll be doing the planet a favor.

Dog toys equipped with places to hide treats are a great way of keeping your dog out of trouble when you aren’t home, or to distract him when you need some piece and quiet.  This toy is great for keeping your little mischief-maker away from your shoes, but I’m not sure what makes it “eco-friendly.” It’s recyclable, so I guess you could recycle the scraps once your dog chews it to pieces, but wouldn’t it be better if it were made of recycled material?
